A delegation of Liberian diplomats visited Fujian Jiangxia University on July 9 to exchange views on China-Liberia cooperation.

The visit was organized by China's Ministry of Commerce and hosted by the international economic cooperation center of Fujian province.

The delegation toured the university history museum and currency museum, where they learned about the institution's development, academic programs, and research focuses. During the currency museum visit, young diplomat Jonmee Royvic Bloh Frank donated two Liberian banknotes to the collection.

At a discussion hosted by the university's School of Foreign Languages, participants exchanged views on bilateral cooperation, including Liberia's mining policies and investment environment, as well as cooperation with China in agricultural technology, e-commerce, and artificial intelligence.

Faculty members introduced Fujian's cross-border e-commerce policies, efforts to promote local products in overseas markets, and the university's approach to training international business talent. They also discussed opportunities for Fujian products to enter African markets.

The diplomats highlighted the longstanding friendship between China and Liberia and outlined investment opportunities in sectors including mining, renewable energy, agricultural processing, and digital trade.

They said Liberia's electricity investment guarantee law, localization policies, and foreign investment protection measures provide support for overseas investors. They also identified challenges including low food self-sufficiency, limited processing capacity, and gaps in digital infrastructure, expressing interest in technological, talent, and industrial cooperation with China.
