On December 18, Chen Dong, Deputy Secretary of the Leading Party Members Group and Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of Fujian Provincial People’s Congress met in Fuzhou with a delegation from the Quảng Ninh Provincial People’s Council of Vietnam, led by Nghiêm Xuân Cường, Member of the Quảng Ninh Provincial Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the Quảng Ninh Provincial People’s Council.

Chen said that since Fujian and Quảng Ninh established a sister province relationship in 2017, both provinces have leveraged their complementary strengths in the spirit of mutual benefit to deepen cooperation across the board. He hoped that both sides will take this visit as an opportunity to strengthen institutional exchanges between legislatures, enhance economic and trade ties, promote youth communication, fully implement the consensus reached by heads of the two states, and bring more benefits to the two peoples.

Nghiêm Xuân Cường expressed the hope to work together to make the best of new opportunities, deepen friendly cooperation across the board, and bring the exchanges between the two provinces to a new height with fresh deliverables.
