The 2025 China-Africa Internet Development and Cooperation Forum kicked off in Xiamen on Sept 28.
China-Africa relations were elevated last year to an all-weather community with a shared future for the new era.
Both sides in recent years have strengthened exchanges and deepened cooperation in digital technology innovation, the development of the digital economy, and digital governance, achieving a series of impressive results. The digital sector has increasingly become a highlight of China-Africa collaboration.
Zhuang Rongwen, head of the Cyberspace Administration of China, offered some recommendations. He said that we should promote a more inclusive and prosperous cyberspace and ensure cyberspace is more peaceful and stable. In addition, fairness and justice in cyberspace should be elevated.
Zhou Zuyi, secretary of the CPC Fujian Provincial Committee, emphasized the need to advance the Digital Silk Road by jointly improving digital infrastructure construction, operation, and maintenance, and supporting Fujian digital enterprises and products in expanding abroad.
China-Africa internet cooperation achievements were announced during the opening ceremony. China introduced the Plan of Actions on Jointly Building a China-Africa Community with a Shared Future in Cyberspace (2025-2026) and set up a "cooperation network of Chinese internet enterprises in Africa".
