ROK Consul General Visits Fujian

Kang Sangwook, Consul General of the Republic of Korea in Guangzhou, visited Fujian from February 4 to 6.

On February 5, Guo Ningning, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Fujian Provincial Committee and Executive Vice Governor of Fujian Province, met with Kang Sangwook and his delegation in Fuzhou. Noting the longstanding relationship between Fujian and the ROK, particularly the strong economic ties, close subnational interactions and dynamic cultural exchanges in recent years, Guo called for increasing cooperation in investment, industries, culture, tourism, and sister-city exchanges to take the partnership to a new high.

Kang commended Fujian’s development achievements and expressed his readiness to facilitate more exchanges and practical cooperation in various areas between the ROK and Fujian.

The delegation also held talks with Li Lin, Director General of Fujian Provincial Foreign Affairs Office and vice mayors of Xiamen and Fuzhou respectively for more specific plans of cooperation in 2024.
