"The Aroma of Refreshing Fujian in Singapore" Culture and Tourism Promotion was held at the China Cultural Centre in Singapore on May 15, showcasing Fujian's rich cultural heritage and tourism resources while deepening cultural exchanges between China and Singapore.
Singapore is one of Fujian's major inbound tourism markets and three travel routes were launched at the event, leveraging China's 30-day visa-free entry policy for travelers from Singapore.
The event drew more than 240 attendees, including Wu Xinbin, deputy director of the Fujian Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism; Kong Yuan, director of the China Cultural Centre and Tourism Office in Singapore; Chan Heng Wing, Singapore's non-resident ambassador to Austria; Rosa Huey Daniel, Singapore's permanent delegate to UNESCO; and Cai Shandi, cultural counsellor at the Chinese Embassy in Singapore; as well as regional travel agents, media representatives, and overseas Chinese groups from Fujian.
Three cultural and tourism cooperation agreements were signed during the event, including one between Fujian Peking Opera Theater and Traditional Arts Centre (Singapore).
