From a Ceylonese prince's descendant to Arab merchant clans, many families crossed oceans to settle in Quanzhou, East China's Fujian province. Tides in the Blood traces the Ding family of Chendai, the Guo family of Baiqi, and the Xu-Shi family as they update their family trees, honor their ancestors, and keep connections alive. Six centuries of tides have woven diverse memories into a shared heritage.
