Lianjiang county, Fuzhou, Fujian province, has secured 13 homecoming investment projects totaling 4.88 billion yuan ($708.72 million) since 2024, ranking first among all counties in Fuzhou. This growth follows a specialized model centered on streamlined administrative procedures, targeted enterprise support, and the strategic mobilization of the local business diaspora to stimulate the regional private economy.

The county fosters a private sector ecosystem by leveraging industry platforms to attract capital, precision investment promotion to secure key projects, and comprehensive lifecycle support to ensure business continuity.

During a recent event in the Lianjiang Kemen Development Zone, officials provided onsite consultations for specific demands regarding planning permits, energy efficiency reviews, and environmental impact assessments. Department representatives established clear processing paths and committed to implementing parallel approval tracks to accelerate project commencement for firms.

To expand its investment network, Lianjiang county has established eight recruitment sub-centers within chambers of commerce in major cities, including Beijing and Shanghai. The county also leverages its proximity to Taiwan and its strong overseas Chinese community to drive trade through a dedicated procurement center and specialized service windows for Taiwan enterprises within the Fuzhou-Matsu industrial cooperation park. These initiatives have contributed to Lianjiang's consistent ranking among China's top 100 counties by GDP and its designation as a 2025 benchmark for new-type industrialization.
