At the invitation of the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC), a delegation of ambassadors and diplomatic envoys from 13 countries across Asia, Africa and Latin America as well as media from home and abroad visited Fujian to learn about the poverty alleviation efforts and human rights progress.

On May 6, Secretary Yin Li and Governor Wang Ning met with the delegation. Yin gave an introduction on President Xi’s major practices in alleviating poverty and building an eco-province while working in Fujian and the remarkable achievements scored by Fujian since reform and opening-up. Yin said, Fujian is ready to share its experience and best practice in poverty eradication, ecological conservation, and epidemic containment to promote common development.

On May 7, the visiting ambassadors came to Xiaqi village, Ningde to see first-hand the lives of boat-dwellers after resettling ashore. They also visited the She ethnic Beishan Village, SAIC Motor Ningde Base, and Ningde Poverty Alleviation & Development Exhibition Hall.
